These footsoldiers are a combination of fanatical priests and warrios, and this combination produces one of the most powerful units on the battlefield. Onec in hand to hand combat they will wreak havoc on the enemy, capable of defeating any other troop type in the game. But like the other footsoldiers, they are vulnerable to long range fire. Their high morale will mean that they will rarely flee, even when taking heavy losses and facing overwhelming odds. As they have no armour, you should employ tactics that keep them out of archer fire, such as placing them behind Yari Samurai or Naginata.
