Musketeers (400 Koku - 1 Season)
Muskets are the improved version of the Arquebus. Once again they are not so effective at long range, and at close range they are devastating. Being shot at with a gunpowder weapon gives the enemy a morale penalty. To use them, deploy in three or more ranks, and they will use the classic revolving system, where the front rank fires then retreats to the back to reload, allowing the second and third ranks to repeat the process. If they are placed in a one or two rank formation, they will all fire at once, but there will be a long gap before the next round. Remember These troops fight very poorly in hand-to-hand combat. Tip: Click the hold position icon, and they will wait until the last possible second before unleashing their volley.
