	Having found out about the new unit, hastati, earlier in the week, today we have a new buyilfing, the Trader... A basic trading post for a settlement, allowing the locals to sell their goods. A Trader is the at the heart of the economy in any small town. It is these individuals who respond to the local population’s need to buy or sell almost anything. They will buy goods cheap, transport them (at no small risk sometimes), and sell dear, taking what profit they can. All of these activities make people's lives richer, and can be taxed to boot! 	MP specific Map-pack. & new RTW screenshots - Wednesday, August 27, 2003
	Skomatth has compiled a MP specific map-pack. It contains 64 excellent maps! The map-pack can be downloaded from our File section. (1,1 MB) Skomatth writes : I've went through the wide variety of custom maps available and selected the ones suitable for mp (since most are not). This pack contains maps from all other packs that are popular/well-made (so usually both). I'll comment on all the maps since ppl have different tastes and may not like certain maps (starting a vicious cycle of map-hating). I ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE CUSTOM MAPS IN TOURNAMENTS!!!!! You can read all about it on our Forum. After downloading and unzipping, simply put the files in medievaltotalwar/battle/maps and enjoy . 	Time Commanders - Thursday, August 21, 2003
	Working hard this afternoon. But before the Simpsons came on there was a rahter exciting trail - Time Commanders. This is appears to be the programme CA are working on for the BBC. Starts on BBC2 on September 4th. This trail, if you can watch BBC, is worth looking out for if only for a few more shots of the RTW battle engine. Catiline

	Well We have loads of goodies for all RTW fans will enjoy. First of all we have loads of new Hardcore Rome Totalwar screenshots. 	Well, Desktops and circuses anyhow. Emp.Dacosta of legiontotalwar.com has released a shiny new Desktop. Very smart, where are the girls though? CA yesterday also released the next new building description, the Circus Maximus:- The Circus is a prestige building, and the skills it requires also aid and encourage the training of the very best cavalry forces. Spills, thrills, accidents and crashes provide the ultimate in entertainment for the residents of many cities. The Circus is a true spectacle, the main attraction being the chariot racing and the chance for the crowds to lose themselves in the excitement of it all. Chariots are pulled by two, three or four horses but on special occasions there might be up to ten horses per vehicle! The charioteers are famous, feted throughout the city and welcome everywhere. There is substantial betting on teams and fanatical followings for the factions "colours". Deaths are common among the drivers as they try to control horses at the gallop and balance the very light chariots around the tight corners of the long oval circuit - all the while avoiding collisions with the other teams. Deaths among the spectators are not unknown as racing fans' passions get out of hand! Catiline
